Haven't used sybase in a few years. Last ran on 11.01. Very surprised to see
that 11.92 seems to have an inferior toolset to 11.01. In particular, find
the lack of a decent SQL editing/execution tool like WISQL particularly
annoying. Plus, it seems like the old SQL Server Manager tool was a lot
faster/tighter than Sybase Central.

Is there any way to get the old tools back?

Hi Andrew,

WISQL was renamed SQL Advantage when it was changed from 16bit to 32bit.
WISQL was last released with the 16bit OpenClient for Windows - I have no
idea if you can still order it.

SQL Advantage is being phased out in favor of JISQL which is basically the
same thing but written in Java.

SQL Server Manager was replaced with the SQL Monitor plugin for Sybase
Central.

Eventually, when Java Central is released for ASE (it is out for ASA now),
the SQL Monitor plugin will be released for it as well.

It does get rather confusing I admit.
