Hi:
I use disk init build a "mytempdb.dat",and
alter database tempdb on mytempdb = 200
....
but i don't know,i delete the master device in "default" , then can not
add master again. the message is :'master' reserved exclusiely as a log
device.
the 'logsegment' add mytempdb the message is: this command hsa been ignored.
txtending the log segment on device 'mytempdb' would leave no space for
creating objects in database 'tempdb'.
help me!

Hi Rich,

Your account is somewhat confused. Perhaps, however, you can be fixed up
by restoring tempdb to it's original state and then re-alter it again.

The following commands should do it:

use master
go
delete sysusages where dbid = 2 and lstart > 0
update sysusages set segmap = 7 where dbid = 2
go

Now reboot ASE and you can alter tempdb back onto the new mytempdb device.
