I'm using Sybase Sql Anywhere ISQL version 5.5.03 build #1666.
After running my query, I want to save the result rows to a .doc or .xls
etc...
How do I do that?????

Thanks,

Salwa

If you put your query in a file "query.sql", you can run it like:

isql -Usa -P -i query.sql -o output.txt

You can also copy and paste from the isql window.

Hi Bret,

Thank you for your reply. Can you expand on copy and past from the isql
window. I tried every thing possible and I can only copy the query but not
the query results.

Thanks,

Not really. I'm accustomed to using ISQL on Solaris, where cutting and pasting
from isql is
the same as cutting and pasting from any other terminal window, it just works.
I'm not
familiar with the version you are using. Sorry I can't be help on this.
