Hello,
I'm having problems loading a new database onto my ASE 11.9.2.4 Server
running WinNT 4 + Sp6a. The server is our Development server and has 27
databases installed on it. Untill recently everything loaded and dumped
just fine, but now when I create and load any new db's ie database 28 and 29
no information is propagated into the tables but the structure is loaded
correctly. When I attempt to update statistics for that new database I get
the errors "Failed to write information in SYSTABSTATS" and "Invalid system
table given for status update, this is an internal error" yet a small number
of the tables still update correctly. I have searched the Sybase Web site
and had no success in finding a resolution, can anyone suggest what may be
wrong. All existing databases have no problems.

Thanks.
Brent

Run sp_configure "number of databases" and see what you get.

Also, look at the procedures about metadata, sp_countmetadata "number of
databases".

You can also do these for number of objects and number of indexes.
